Clitheroe Castle Ghost Hunt with Medium Paul Hunt

Clitheroe Castle is one of the oldest buildings in Lancashire and is said to be the landmark of Clitheroe itself.

The Castle stands high on a rocky hill overlooking the valley floor of the River Ribble it is the only remaining castle in Lancashire which had a royalist garrison during the Civil War.

It is believed that the castle was built by Robert de Lacy around the year 1186 to house and protect the administrative centre of his vast estate.

There is a legend that the Devil threw a boulder from Pendle Hill which hit the castle creating the hole that visitors can still see today.

The ominous Pendle Hill looms in the distance, an area well known for the Pendle Witches.

These infamous Witches were believed to have murdered seventeen people around the Pendle area in the 1600’s using witchcraft so it should as no surprise that Clitheroe Castle is full to the brim of history and emotion along with inhabitants that remain from days gone by.

Ghostly activity at this location is varied with the castle housing its very own White lady her presence has been seen and reported by many visitors to this location.

The Ghosts of a Man, Woman and Child have also been seen some visiting Mediums who have sensed this trio are thought to be all from the same Family they have all been seen lost in their time wandering the Castle and its grounds.

The Spectre of a young Servant Girl and that of a Man in Uniform have also been reported here.

Strange lights have been captured on Camera and loud moans and terrifying groans have been recorded from previous Investigations at this very haunted and active location.
