Regent Picture House Ghost Hunts

39 De Grey Street Hull Ghost Hunts with Dusk till Dawn Events The Ghost Hunting Company

The doors to this old silver screen cinema first opened to the public in 1921, people flocked to visit here to see their favourite big screen films. The Regent became a favoured place to visit for decades, before it closed its doors as a public cinema in the 1960’s.

After closure following its time as an entertainment centre, the building was sold and once again reopened as a cinema in 2016, part of the location now also houses an antiques emporium, called the Regent Antiques Centre, which is full of nostalgic vintage items.

The Regent is the last surviving old style cinema found in Blackpool and many of its original historic features can still be viewed here, including a still operational retractable roof, giving you a true feeling of stepping back in time to years gone by!

Deep beneath the building, an atmospheric, creepy cellar and boiler room can be found, just perfect for your night of investigating, along with the main auditorium, big screen and balcony where a full-bodied apparition of a spirit man has been reportedly caught on camera, seen peering over the balcony.

Many previous visitors have been said to have heard approaching footsteps, whispered voices, eerie laughter along with a lady who was described as seen wandering in various areas of the old picture house!
